Course: Dessert, Snack
Cuisine: American
Servings: 1 pint, or 4 servings of ½ cup each
- ½ cup hot fudge topping
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk (dairy or dairy free alternative)
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips (or regular size)
Measure out the hot fudge topping and place it in a medium sized microwave safe mixing bowl. Heat in the microwave for 15-20 seconds until the fudge is easily stirred and resembles melted chocolate.
To the fudge bowl, add heavy cream, milk and sugar. Whisk together until the fudge is fully incorporated.
Transfer the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container and freeze for 24 hours on a flat, even shelf.
After 24 hours, place the pint container into the paddle canister and process on the “ice cream” setting.
After it is finished processing, make a 1-inch diameter hole in the center of the ice cream and add the chocolate chips into the hole. Process again on the “mix-in” setting. Enjoy right away.
- You can use any type of hot fudge topping.
- We find that mini chocolate chips are easier to eat in the ice cream, but you can use regular sized ones. You can also chop up your favorite chocolate into small pieces.
- To make this totally fairy free, you can use your favorite alternative or plant-based milk. You can find a heavy cream alternative as well in plant-based form. Oat milk will give you a nice creamy base. Coconut milk and soy milk are also good options.
- Add more fudge as a topping for serving if you would like.
