Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Heat the tortillas in the microwave for 25-30 seconds. This will make them more pliable so that they don't won’t crack.
In a bowl place the chicken, green chili, salt, and pepper and mix well until combined evenly. Break the chicken up while mixing.
Lay out the tortillas and place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on each one, spreading it out in a thin layer. Add some cheese on top.
Roll up each tortilla tightly into a taquito shape and place them seam-side down on a plate.
Spray the taquitos with cooking spray to coat them evenly. Spray the inside of the fryer basket with cooking spray, as well.
Place the taquitos in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 9-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Serve the taquitos hot with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.
