Make sure your asparagus is nice and dry after washing it. Coat the asparagus in olive oil, covering all sides.
Stir the garlic powder, sea salt and black pepper together. Sprinkle over the asparagus evenly.
Place the asparagus in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the asparagus and then layer the sliced lemon over the top.
Air fry at 400°F for about 8-10 minutes, until the asparagus is cooked but still crispy. Enjoy right away.
Notes
To add a little kick of heat to your Air Fryer Lemon Asparagus, you can add ¼ teaspoon of paprika or cayenne pepper to the garlic powder mix.
This dish is best eaten warm, right out of the air fryer, but you can also enjoy the leftover cold or chop them and add them to your salad.
Be sue to keep an eye on the asparagus after about 8 minutes. If the asparagus overcook, they can become mealy, and if they stay in the air fryer too long they can also burn.
