Part of Our Holiday Movie Snack Board

This Hot Cocoa Dip is our twist on an old classic. We take the familiar flavors of hot cocoa and mix them with with smooth heavy cream, cream cheese, and vanilla yogurt to create a version of the beverage that you can use for dipping. Serve this dip alongside some simple and festive Santa Hat Dippers made with strawberries and two sizes of marshmallows, and the inner child in everyone is sure to come out.

Our love of holiday movies inspired us to create some easy and delicious recipes based on a few of the classics from our childhoods. You can see all these recipes come together in our Holiday Movie Snack Board. Happy Holidays from our family to yours! And happy snacking!

Probably about the ingredients and the mis-en-place

A mis-en-place of ingredients for Hot Cocoa Dip

Heat the heavy cream in the microwave until it is hot but not bubbling. Then pour in the hot cocoa mix and whisk vigorously until the powder has dissolved. Allow the cream to slightly cool for about 1-2 minutes.

Pour the chocolate chips into the cream mixture and do not stir for 1 minute. After a minute, whisk the chocolate chips into the heavy cream until all the chocolate has melted. Stir in the cinnamon. Set aside to cool.

Make the Santa hat dippers by cutting off the stem of each strawberry. Then cut each of the regular sized marshmallows in half. Layer a marshmallow half, followed by a cut-side down strawberry and a mini marshmallow at the point. Stick a long toothpick through all three pieces to create a little Santa hat.
