    Air Fryer Apples with Bourbon

    These Air Fryer Apples with Bourbon feature delicious, seasonal Honeycrisp apples combined with warm and comforting flavors of Fall, like cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg. Adding in the optional bourbon helps bring out the warming flavors of the spices, but it isn't required. Whether eaten on their own, as a sweet side dish to a savory meal, or topped with ice cream and caramel for dessert, these apples are sure to be crowd pleasers.

    We recommend using Honeycrisp apples, but you can experiment with any kind of seasonal apples. Each variety of apple with come with it’s own unique flavor profile and texture and will take to the sauce slightly differently.

    Peel and core the apples. Slice the apples into smaller pieces.

    Place the apple slices into a large mixing bowl. Then add the brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and bourbon (if using). Mix everything evenly, so the apples are all coated.

    Place the apples into the air fryer basket and cook at 350 F for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking.

    Remove the apples from the air fryer and serve warm.

    You can add some vanilla ice cream and caramel for an easy dessert.

    What are the storage instructions?

    Place any leftover apples into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days. Reheat in the microwave or back in the air fryer until warm. We recommend adding a splash of water to reactivate the juices.

    These Air Fryer Apples with Bourbon are best served warm.

    • 6 Honeycrisp apples
    • ⅓ cup brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • ¼ teaspoon allspice
    • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
    • ¼ cup bourbon whiskey (optional)

    Instructions
